BTC Broadband’s Rob Whitlock has been named to serve on the Tulsa Metro Area Planning Commission
Bixby, OK – March 16, 2021 – BTC Broadband announces that Rob Whitlock, BTC Director of Sales, has been nominated by Tulsa County Commissioner, Stan Sallee, and approved by the Board of County Commissioners, to serve a 3-year term on the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (TMAPC). The TMAPC is a joint city-county cooperative planning commission whose mission is to provide unbiased advice to the Tulsa City Council and the Tulsa County Board of Commissioners on development and zoning matters and requests.
Mr. Whitlock has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry serving businesses in and around Oklahoma. He has held office and served as a member on numerous Boards including the Broken Arrow Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation, and the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on various agencies such as the Broken Arrow Neighbors and the Broken Arrow Civitans. Mr. Whitlock attended Oklahoma State University.
Rob Whitlock’s TMAPC term begins immediately, and he shared, “I am extremely honored for the opportunity to serve on the TMAPC and look forward to hitting the ground running on all session Agenda items and initiatives.”
