Email User Guide
1. New Users--Establish a permanent Email password to replace your “temporary” password.
NOTE: All first-time users are required to replace their temporary password with a permanent, private password to ensure their security. Click on the “Change Your Password Now” link and follow the online instructions.
2. Current Users -Change your password
If you have forgotten your password, you first will need to obtain a temporary password by calling Online Plus’ Free 24-hour Technical Support at 366-5464. Once you have obtained your “temporary” password, use the “Change Your Password Now” link below to change your temporary password to a permanent, private password. If you know your password and want to reset, click on the “Change Your Password Now” link.
3. Add additional Mailboxes
When new accounts are setup, one main Email account is activated. Each user is allowed to add additional Email addresses to their main account, depending on their level of service. The numbers below include the original Email address of the account.
- Dial-up account--Can establish up to 5 Email addresses
- High Speed Internet 512K account--Can establish up to 5 Email addresses
- High Speed Internet 4, 6, and 10 Meg accounts--Can establish up to 10 Email addresses
- Additional Email addresses are also available for business accounts. For questions regarding business accounts, please call 366-8000 and ask for “Business Sales Support.”
Note: For your protection, you will need your user name and current password to access the following area. Subscribers with the original “username-olp” account style will need to add the “-olp” to their name.
4. Set up your Free Virus and Junk Email protection with Postini
Postini is designed to protect all Email users from junk Email (Spam), viruses and threatening intrusions from attackers. Log in once and choose your personal settings for eliminating junk Email--that’s all it takes. You’ll be notified by Email immediately when a virus is detected and every 3 days of the junk mail caught. Or, check your Postini account as often as you choose.

Online Plus provides a 24-hour technical support group that is trained to take care of all of your Internet connection needs. You can email any questions to or call (918) 366-5464.
6. Configure Email for Outlook Express
- Open Outlook Express. Close any error messages you may get by clicking on the X in the upper right hand corner of the dialog box.
- From the Menu Bar, select Tools and then Accounts. Click the Mail tab. If there are any line items in the white box, select each one and then click the remove button on the right.
- Click the Add button and then select Mail which will open the Internet Connection Wizard.
- Type in your name as you would like it to appear when others receive email from you. Click Next.
- Enter your email address, which is your username plus @olp.net. For example: (all lower case). Click Next.
- At the Server Names screen, select POP3 as the incoming mail server type. Type in mail.olp.net as the incoming mail server. Also type in mail.olp.net as the outgoing mail server. Click Next.
- At the Internet Mail Logon screen, type in your username into the Account name field, such as jsmith or bob-olp. Select the checkbox “Remember password”, then type your password into the Password field. Leave the Secure Password Authentication box unchecked. Click Next.
- Click Finish, then Close. Press the Send/Recv button to retrieve your email.
