Recent changes in FCC regulations give the customer a new choice about how BTC uses your account information to meet your future telecommunication needs. These new changes are designed to protect your privacy rights as a customer. BTC values our customers and meeting your communication needs is our top priority.
The Telecommunications Act now requires BTC to have your permission to use your Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI). CPNI is data that is not publicly available (like name, address, phone number) and includes information such as type of service, number of telephone lines, amount of usage, and calling and billing records. You now have the right to authorize use or non-use of your CPNI by BTC Broadband. Regardless of your decision, BTC will keep your information confidential. Giving BTC authorization allows us to further customize the services we can provide to you, our valued customer.
So that BTC employees are free to discuss and/or provide call detail information to you during a call that you initiate to a BTC office, please establish a password for your account. Contact us at 918-366-8000 to set this up.
You have the right under federal law to restrict the use of CPNI data, and we have a responsibility to protect your data. In order to restrict the use of your CPNI data, you must contact us in writing at the following address or email us at marketing (at) olp.net. Your restriction of this CPNI data will not affect the service or services to which you subscribe, but you may miss out on cost saving promotions and products we want to offer you.
